We recommend neutral-colored clothing, a hat, sunscreen, binoculars, camera, and comfortable walking shoes. For early morning game drives, bring a jacket as it can be chilly. We provide water and refreshments on all tours.
The dry season (May to October) is generally considered the best time for wildlife viewing as animals congregate around water sources. However, each season offers unique experiences - the wet season (November to April) brings lush landscapes and newborn animals.
Yes! We welcome children aged 6 and above on our game drives. For walking safaris, the minimum age is 12. We believe in inspiring the next generation of conservationists and offer special family-friendly safari experiences.
Your safety is our priority. All our guides are highly trained and certified in first aid and wilderness safety. We maintain radio communication at all times and follow strict protocols during wildlife encounters. Our vehicles are regularly serviced and equipped with safety equipment.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required within 7 days of making a booking to reserve the dates.
Bookings will be held provisionally for the 7 days and will be released should there be no receipt of the deposit.
Full payment of the balance must clear our account no later than 90 days prior to the first travel day, unless the booking is made within 30 days of travel, in which case the FULL payment must be made immediately.
If a member of the group cancels their place on the program, our cancellation policy is as follows:
Refunds are subject to a $55 bank charge plus $40 administration fee. If refunds are to be made to multiple bank accounts, fees apply to each transfer.
Important: Payment of the minimum non-refundable deposit to secure safari dates constitutes acknowledgment of the terms and conditions.
Untamed Encounters reserves the right to alter the safari where late payments delay adequate time for preparation.
Departure is only guaranteed on receipt of the FULL invoice value 90 days prior to safari date.
